A pioneer of early stage digital media and interactive SMS, Michael is co-founder of the Newsmast Foundation, working to strengthen and grow communities in digital spaces built around their needs, connected across the open social web. Drawing on experience in Brazil, Columbia, Africa, Europe and North America, the Newsmast team are challenging the norms of onboarding organisations to the open social web. Michael is also one of the co-founders of European Social, bringing together Matrix, the Fediverse, the Atmosphere and European digital commons advocates, within the European Social Stack.
