The original goal of the DWeb principles was to distinguish our ideals against the behaviors of many centralized web projects and firms then, as now, pursuing excessive wealth, or engaged in unethical and criminal endeavors. We always wanted these principles to live and evolve.

And today, we ask: how can we re-imagine these principles as a way of determining where we collectively want DWeb, a movement and an ideal, to go? And what do we want DWeb to be?
