2026-07-10 –, Hackers Lab
The sneakerweb is a parallel web where data is transported by physical media.
In this workshop, participants will install the sneakerweb tool on their own machines, create a domain, publish their own website to it, and swap sites with each other.
The sneakerweb is powered by Willow, the Meadowcap capability system, and Willow's Drop Format (https://willowprotocol.org).
- Invited: web authors, zine makers, collectors
- Required materials: devices capable of installing command line tools
In this workshop we will do the following:
- Install the sneakerweb CLI on participant devices.
- Register a new domain on the sneakerweb
- Publish a small website to this domain
- Export our sneakerweb data to a file which we'll put on physical storage
- And then distribute this to participants, building up our view of the sneakerweb!
