How AD4M connects Holochain, ActivityPub, Nostr, Matrix and any other dWeb protocol (and centralized networks/apps) into one evolvable, agent-centric Semantic Web, a 2nd tier infrastructure for collective intelligence — enabling humans (and AI agents) to collaborate across boundaries without giving up sovereignty.
The decentralized web is fragmenting. Holochain, ActivityPub, Matrix, Solid — each powerful alone, but siloed. You can't query across them. Users can't traverse between them. Communities are isolated.
AD4M is the spanning layer that weaves them together.
Think of it like TCP/IP for the dWeb — not replacing any protocol, but providing the common abstraction that lets them interoperate. Every protocol becomes a "language" that AD4M nodes can learn to speak. Anyone can build a language adapter for their protocol. Local experiments are free — but they can synergize when needed.
The agent-centric model means: you and your social spaces are the backbone that connects apps to networks. Your data stays yours. Your community governs itself. Holons stack up and build a Holarchy.
In this talk, you'll understand the concepts and architecture of AD4M, how to build adapters and apps to it, and what it enables.
