A lot has happened in p2panda land! This open session gives an introduction into the stack, what we are currently working, where we are heading. There will be plenty time to ask your questions, discuss ideas and meet other people from the community.
p2panda aims to provide everything you need to build modern, privacy-respecting and secure local-first applications. You can read more about it here: https://p2panda.org/ and https://github.com/p2panda/p2panda/.
In this session I'll introduce the basics around p2panda and our current developments, for example:
- Current collaborations with Modal, GNOME and Dash Chat folks
- Our new high-level Node API
- Out-of-the-box Tor support to protect IP addresses
- Integration of Capabilities, like Meadowcap or UCAN
- Multi-device, offline-first and decentralised group management with revocation
- Encryption for groups with forward secrecy and post-compromise security
- Support Nodes to assure higher availability
- Event delivery via delay tolerant, replicated mesh-routing for BLE and LoRa
