DWeb Camp 2026

Designing DWeb Abstractions for the Frontlines
2026-07-11 , Resilience Base

We will explore how to build bridges between complex DWeb protocols and the practical needs of non-technical domain experts.

Using CoMapeo, Terrastories, Guardian Connector and LibreMesh (Mesh networks for Community Networks) as active case studies, we will discuss the curation of technical products by capturing local use cases and turning them into accessible abstractions.

We will dive into some challenges we have gone through, including:
- The Translation Problem: How to explain decentralized technology using acessible mental models
- Designing from the User: Moving beyond just "offering tech" to co-design processes
- A transparent look at the difficulties of building sovereign data pipelines where no easy abstractions yet exist

Tinker, florester and admirer of originary cultures. I believe and live a better world where communities are enpowered and self-governed, people have the time and spirit to tend their human and non-human peers and tools are hacked or built for the well-being of people and the planet.
